Overview

In 1996, at 100 years of age, Edith Haisman, (nee Brown) became the world's oldest living survivor of the Titanic disaster. She was almost sixteen years of age at the time and could well remember those screams and cries for help as the ship sank in those icy waters of the North Atlantic.  Those sounds were to haunt her for the rest of her life.

About the Author

David Haisman is the youngest son of Edith Haisman and has spent 30 years of his working life at sea. During that time he has served on the world's largest liners namely the Queen's Elizabeth and Mary. Whilst serving with Cunard White Star line as it was then called, his duties included those of lookout man, going over the same course and experiencing the same weather conditions as those in Titanic's day. His experience gives his story greater credibility on the subject than many other authors on the subject.
