About the Author

K Spirito holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Franklin Pierce University, class of 1998 and an Associate in Arts for Interpreting for the Deaf from L. A. Pierce College in California, 1982. In the ‘60s, she built power supplies for the Lunar Excursion Module that now sits on the moon. She transcribed Five Little Firemen by Margaret Wise Brown and Edith Thacher Hurd into Braille for the L. A. Public Library. She was a licensed Cosmetologist and owned a hair salon.

Born and raised in New England, K Spirito, always the history buff, loves to browse through microfilm of old newspapers. Noting articles of human-interest, she then weaves them into a variety of fiction—all set in New England.

K Spirito and her husband of over forty years, Sal, raised four children and are now, blessed with three granddaughters and five grandsons. K and Sal Spirito enjoy traveling, in-line skating, sailing, kayaking, and Mexican Train dominoes—and most of all, volunteering for the Franklin Pierce Alumni Association.

K and Sal Spirito are proud sponsors of Merrimack Youth Baseball. Among other organizations they support are the Franklin Pierce Alumni Association, the New Hampshire Association for the Blind, Concord TV, the Cape Cod Commercial Fisherman’s Association, the Friends of Wrentham, the Granite Statesmen, Voices in Harmony, and the American Cancer Society. They are members of the New Hampshire Writers’ Project (NHWP).
