Time Dancing: A Galactic Journal
The news feed on the Federation Building in downtown Phoenix flashed on as Professor Ryan made his way to the Smithsonian Board of Regent's corporate office.
October 10, 2050: Smithsonian Archeologist to excavate part of the Grand Canyon's South Rim. Environmental groups up in arms. Professor Ryan of the Smithsonian's Archeologist Research and Exploration Unit will be heading the archeological dig...more news to follow....
Jeff Ryan had been investigating hidden information on the mythological Seven Cities of Cibola. It had been his passion for as long as he could remember. His Master's Thesis had been called "The lost cities of Cibola, the Egyptian Connection."
Jeff had discovered an old newspaper archive dated 1909. This article reported the discovery of a rock-cut vault inside the sheer walls of the Grand Canyon early in his research of myths surrounding this impassable cave. Jeff, an archeology Professor at Arizona State University, was an avid historian. He was fascinated with ancient Hopi myths and their connection with sky gods. It was not unlike the Sumerian texts of antiquity. The odd article added the Egyptian connection, much to his fascination.
