Overview

Dear Reader,

Welcome to my world. Be warned it is a cold and lonely place. This is where all of us nice guys live: where we all know love, but have never met her.

This is why I don’t just write about love, but also despair. These words are not for the faint of heart. And only those who have lived through the pain of their unrequited love which could not be corresponded to due to it being an impossible and forbidden love, can truly understand how cold and lonely the world can be without the touch, the feel, the warmth and the comfort of that special one that we all need.

The first pages are but an introduction to let you know who I am today as a result of this experience. The next four pages show a point in time in my life as I gradually begin to learn and find my true self.

All the pages that end with the date are the dedications to the woman who inspired them.
To all the nice guys; never give up. Never change! For good things come to those that wait.
To all the women who overlook and don’t appreciate that nice guy - it’s your loss!
About the title of this book:

Like all birds that are meant to spread their wings and fly free, all wounded birds never lose the hope and aspiration to fly. So too do I wish to be free of this burden, and be able to freely express myself to the one that makes my heart beat, without any fear of repercussions.

I too aspire to love freely and openly with arms wide open.
I could die for just her touch.
