About the Author

John Recher has been a Bible teacher and writer for over 30 years. He has ministered with the Assemblies of God and is currently ministering in the Church of God of Cleveland, Tennessee. He has been a Christian over 35 years and has written many sermons and lessons from the Word of God during that time. Others have recognized him as a gifted teacher who has both a thorough understanding of the Bible and who is always ready to share what he knows and has learned. In the classroom, he teaches in a non-intimidating and exhorting manner that fosters meaningful, open discussion among members of the class. It is from his willingness to share his knowledge and understanding, that he has written the book, "This is the Great Adventure: How to Understand What the Bible Says about What We Believe".

John has been a longtime believer in the amazing power of prayer, as God has demonstrated many answers to prayers in his own life. He is wholly devoted to God, and is unequivocally committed to his family, church, and friends. John has a definite passion to glorify God in the written word as well as in roles of speaker and teacher.

Professionally, John has worked as an emergency dispatcher for a busy 911 center in Michigan for many years; also functioning as an effective trainer of new dispatchers and writing numerous training materials. He has been pleased to be a longtime resident of Southwest Michigan.
