"This, I believe" is a tiptoe through the major books of the Old and New Testaments. The author, trained in scientific discipline and raised by parents with radically opposing views of Jesus concludes, after many years of study, that many of the incredible stories contained in the Holy Bible are alegorical and must be read not as fact but for the important teachings they contain. His struggle to reconcile the differences between Creationists and Evolutionists over the origin of life has produced what he believes to be a workable "truce" between the opponents.
