Thinking Funny is my life story interrupted by jokes and stories that are brought to mind by events in my life. From childhood, through school, military service and a 32 year career with a major New York City bank. The jokes are funny but my sense of humor and desire to be well liked often came into conflict with my desire to be respected. Are these two goals in conflict? I hope when you read my book you will smile and, maybe even laugh out loud. After all, isn't laughter the best medicine?

About the Author

My name is Stephen Hirsch. I've been hearing jokes and telling jokes since I was 7 years old. I'm now almost 79. I spent my childhood on Long Island, married my high school sweetheart and enjoyed a 32 year career with the Chase Manhattan Bank. I now reside in Baltimore. I'm President of our condo board which gives me plenty of material for my next book.
