About the Author

Barb Miller enjoys life with her husband Rod in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Canada.
She has always been pathologically creative. As a child she started out with oil painting, then as she got older, that realm of creativity was not often used except for maybe a good game of Pictionary. In her thirties she joined a drama team where she acted and occasionally wrote short dramas. With her specialty being humor, there was a period in her life where she wrote and performed standup comedy. Now, her focus is mainly writing.
She is the youngest of four children and always knew that she was uniquely and wonderfully made. Growing up, this is how she was introduced by her parents: “These are our two daughters Ruth and Jeanne, this is our son Dennis, and this is Barbie”. She had a classification all of her own. But what she came to discover is that she is not ‘different’, she’s quirky. By definition the word ‘quirky’ means: unconventional behavior. This definition may be in Webster’s dictionary, but it is not biblical.
God created her exactly the way He intended, and by His standards, there’s no such term as ‘unconventional’. Have you ever noticed that within the word ‘creative’ is the word ‘create’? That’s because our Creator, God, made each of us creative in our own distinct way. When we are ourselves, God loves it because we weren’t programmed to be anybody else. This includes both someone that has a composed and logical personality to someone that has a more light and humorous perspective on life.
