Born and raised in Brownfield, Texas, Judge Donald W. Price attended both Cisco Junior College and Texas A&M University on football scholarships. He went on to serve as a justice of the peace for the city of Artesia, New Mexico, for twelve years and as the magistrate of Eddy County, New Mexico, for twenty years. He was the past president of the Artesia chapter of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship. Later becoming an ordained Assemblies of God minister, Judge Price served as the associate pastor for Trinity Temple in Artesia.
Judge Price and his wife of sixty-three years, Nelda, currently live in Roswell, New Mexico. They Still Call Me Judge is his inspiring memoir describing how God restored his life after his oldest son's tragic death to cancer.
