About the Author

Dr. Shri Bhagwan Dahiya (b. 1954) is a Professor of Economics at M.D. University, Rohtak. He obtained his M.A. and Ph. D. degrees from the Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Dr. Dahiya has been a visiting Professor at the University of Rome and a visiting Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex, Brighton, England. Dr. Dahiya has published a number of research papers in Indian and foreign professional journals. He is the Chief Editor of the International Journal of Development Planning Literature.
