Overview

Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award 2011 semi-finalist.The Young Demon Keeper is a darkly humorous fantasy novel set in modern-day London. When Paul summoned a slave demon to do his every bidding, he thought it would be really cool. Instead, he got Scarth, a hybrid that was as magical as a damp sponge but not as intelligent. His only talents seem to be invisibility and to eat: toasters, gravel, furniture, but especially ice-cream. Oh, and people.Featuring demons, trendy priests, garrulous occult bookshop owners, muggers, publicans, evangelists, porters, witches, and wizards.Oh, and then there's the really strange characters.

About the Author

When Bob Simms said that when he left school he wanted to work with computers, his careers teacher told him there wasn't much future in that. This was in 1975, on the eve of the computer revolution. That pretty much sums up his life.

He has had a number of careers, ranging from banking, through police and security to retail and finally, at last, computers. His best career choice to date has been to become an IT trainer, which allows him to perform the Bob Simms show daily to an audience that actually pays him.

His one ambition is that other people will one day find him as funny as he already thinks he is.

He lives in Kent, UK with his wife.

(The UK is a little theme park just off the coast of EuroDisney)
