Mitty is the smallest mouse in his village; while Boomer is the largest. Mitty believes he is a very large mouse because the only mice he has ever seen are mice larger than him; which gives him confidence and inner strength. Boomer believes he is a very small mouse; the only mice he had ever known were smaller mice. One day, the unlikely pair are kidnapped by a very hungry snake who had craved mouse stew for weeks. Throughout their journey the two mice overcome issues of fear, body issues, judging others, insecurity, sadness, self-hate, and loneliness.

Michael Espar II was born June, 22 1986 in Connecticut. Espar was homeschooled a third of his life. He grew up reading books for entertainment, and for education. Espar's love for children's poems and stories flourished after he graduated from Oxford University. College life had taken a toll on Espar, and children's stories helped him realize the importance of reading, writing, and using your imagination.
