About the Author

Ziju Wang is an international student study arts and photography at Sydney, Australia. He is also a calligrapher where he started at the age of five. Ziju has been awarded multiple times in the early stage of his life. While he is achieving in calligraphy his love for photography remains pursuing. The Inspiration comes mainly from his love towards the cosmos the vast and wonder. However the resources were difficult in his hometown and so for many other places in China where air pollution limits the ability for star watching and photographing. As Ziju started travel around Sydney during his school holidays he was fascinated by the clear sky and eyes full of stars, he’s unsettled pursue of as an astral photographer began. Throughout his study at UNSW – College of Fine Art, ST. George TAFE&USYD – School of Conteporary Art his photography skills has been improved and during the same time he has travelled around Sydney in completing this album. Ziju believes that with the advancement of science and modern technology artificial lights from the bulbs and screens limits our connection with nature and deforms our perception of the world. These lights with certain distance are merely influential but when shooting the stars and trying to exclude it from the image it became a major obstacle. Ziju’s love towards astral photography will lead him into further explortion throughout Australia and other countries as his idea and conception between human and the stars develops further.
