About the Author

Sue Ross is a retired Air Force colonel and 1983 Air Force Academy graduate. She is a command pilot with more than 3,100 flying hours, and has commanded at the squadron and group level. She also served on the Academy faculty in the English department, and as speechwriter to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Ms. Ross now owns a communications consulting business in Colorado. Randy Lee is a retired Army lieutenant colonel and 1984 West Point graduate. He served in field artillery, basic training, and psychological operations units. He wrote speeches for the Commander in Chief of US Pacific Command, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of Defense. Mr. Lee currently writes speeches and resides in the Washington, D.C. area.
