As time went by, he met the Wee People who occupy the field behind Heavlee Manor. The Gillie became a close friend of the Wee People and worked with them to resolve many of their personal problems.

In turn, The Wee People were there whenever The Gillie needed help. Together they celebrated The Gillies holidays and he in turn participated on the celebrations of The Wee People.
