Overview

Life in the early 1900's is not always kind to Jack Kennedy. It doesn't matter that he has put away more murderers than every other detective at his precinct combined. There are some things that people refuse to look past. But Jack fights those who stand against him, and against the problems he creates for himself, because Jack has a secret. Jack can see the "strings" that connect everything in our world, and these "strings" allow him to access anyone's memories, even those who have been murdered. But what happens when a case cannot be solved by the pluck of a "string?"

For the first time, Jack must conduct the investigation like an ordinary detective, relying on instincts to uncover a web of suspects. Is it a jilted lover? Is it the most powerful crime boss in the city? Or maybe, a family member? Jack is about to embark on his most challenging case. Can he find the killer without the "strings?" Can he prove to himself, and his doubters, that he is a great detective? Time is running out. A killer is loose, and only Jack can put an end to it.

The Weavers is the fifth book in The Wind's Cry series.
