How often, when we face life's circumstances, do we wonder how things could have been different? "My life could have been so different if..."
Sometimes in near-miss accidents, we exclaim, "Wow, that could have been much worse." The author stood in handcuffs being accused of attempted manslaughter within a few minutes he was cleared of the charge. The way things could have been has the possibility of two totally different stories.

About the Author

Doug was raised in an exemplary Christian home. Upon completing high school, he attended a Bible college in Southern California where he studied for the ministry and eventually pastored several churches. Several heart-wrenching incidents brought him to a very low ebb. At that time, Doug received a vision of his deceased father telling him to remain faithful and things would turn around for him—and they have. The lesson he learned is found in Matthew 5:45, and like Job of old, Job 13:15 says, “Though he slay me, yet I will trust in him.”
