The Water Garden of Truth
Amelia Rex cherished this day; it was the annual “seaside friends” get together. Of course she saw her friends religiously but this was the event of the year, a chance for all of them to meet up and a chance for her to clear her life of gloom if only for a little while. At least that was what was supposed to happen until her husband, Brandon; didn’t survive the night.
As news of Brandon’s suspicious death spread it was all Amelia could do to simply make it through each day. Even with the support of her friends, the media storm surrounding Brandon’s death was becoming too much for her to handle. When an attempt to flee from the stress of the situation landed Amelia in jail, she finds herself caught up in a nationally publicized trial with a DA who is certain she is guilty. As the trial ensues questions are raised and trails that once seemed concrete prove to be dead ends. Leaving everyone wondering, who killed Brandon Rex?

About the Author

Cam Murphy is a native of Chicago, who achieved her Master’s degree in Education with a concentration in Higher Education and her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Suffolk University, located in Boston. Cam worked for several years in the international shipping industry including the Ocean Brokerage Department of a large Japanese company. During this time, she had the opportunity to experience seaside living and enjoyed its peaceful, unique atmosphere. While living in a cozy seaside town, she met many fascinating individuals; no two were alike, which made this eclectic neighborhood much more interesting. Later, Cam continued her professional career in the higher education industry and today enjoys advising students on their careers and presenting career programs at a Boston area university. Cam’s interest in writing stemmed from her interest in an expansive book collection and enjoying the authors’ amazing ability to tell a great story. Three years ago, Cam challenged herself to do the same and penned her first book “The Water Garden of Truth” based on her experience of living by the sea and reflecting on diverse groups of people she met along the way.
Cam Murphy is a member of Chicago Women in Publishing and the West End Civic Association.
In her free time, Cam Murphy enjoys reading, writing, and learning Italian.
