About the Author

Colonel Schwallie spent over thirty-two years in the US Army. He is now retired and lives in Utah. He graduated from The United States Military Academy at West Point, The Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth, and the Army War College at Carlisle Barracks. He served in three separate branches during his time in uniform and deployed to Saudi Arabia and Iraq during the Gulf War in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He served as a Brigade and Task Force Commander and in multiple staff positions during his career including three tours at the Pentagon.
