Overview

THE VIRGIN AND THE GIPSIE.... IS A TANTALIZING LOVE STORY....A REALLY GREAT READ! BY THE AUTHOR OF LADY CHATERLEY'S LOVER.

Yvette, a strong willed young woman, lives with her father, (a vicar), her sister, grandmother and aunt in the vicarage of a small village. The family move here after the mother causes a scandal by running off with a young and penniless man. The vicarage is not a happy home and Yvette finds life boring and mundane. This all changes when out one day she meets a gipsie who brings to life in her feelings that she has never encountered before.

Yvette has never been in love and after meeting the gipsie she wonders if these feelings he has aroused in her are indeed love. Although they are classes apart she feels more drawn to him than anybody else she has met before. This makes her start to question her life and what she wants from it. They end up alone together when a great flood forces them to find shelter in her bedroom. In the aftermath of this event she realizes that she finally knows what love is.
