About the Author

Dr. Arthur Field holds Ph.D. degrees in statistics, operations research and management. He received the American Statistical Association Award for Best Student in the U.S. He co-managed a mutual fund and ran the in-house commodity fund for a major company. Dr. Field was published numerous times in Stocks & Commodities, trade journals, Futures Magazine, and Investors' Business Daily. He was a Visiting Associate Professor of Statistics and Management at Clemson University and traded the markets for 50 years. He helped develop numerous technical analysis tools with Davis Research and Elliot Wave. He is the author of a seminal book on predicting recessions using 8 key indicators; his work has been cited many times on major media programs. Dr. Field retired to Florida in 2011 and trades and writes full-time.
