On Anthony Weiner
Anthony David Weiner was born on September 4, 1964 in Brooklyn, New York as the middle child of Mort and Fran Weiner. Mort made his living as a lawyer, and Fran taught mathematics at a local public high school. When describing his upbringing in an interview for Moment Magazine, Weiner noted, “We weren't a very religious household, but we had a very strong sense of our Judaism.”

On Hillary Clinton
Born in 1975, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton was raised in a middle class, Methodist home in Chicago, Illinois. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1969 and Yale Law School in 1973, where she met William Jefferson “Bill” Clinton. They married in 1975 and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. While Bill served a total of five terms as Governor of Arkansas, Clinton, a partner at the Rose Law Firm, began her lifelong mission advocating on behalf of women and children. In addition to co-founding the Arkansas Advocates for Children and Families, she also served on the boards of several other related non-profits.
After Bill’s election to the Presidency in 1992, Clinton became First Lady of the United States in January 1993. She spearheaded a failed campaign to reform America’s health care system and endured criticism from opponents for her hair, her pantsuits, and for acting more like a “co-president” than a first lady.
In 2000, she became the first sitting First Lady to run for office, and from 2001-2009 she served as the U.S. Senator from New York. After she lost to Barack Obama in a very close race for the Democratic presidential nomination, Obama appointed her to his cabinet as U.S. Secretary of State.

On Michele Bachmann
The Minnesota representative and former presidential hopeful will end her third term in Congress this year, but she has already announced her intentions to be re-elected.
While now a household name following almost a year of national campaigning, Bachmann seeks to shift her focus back home, to her constituents in Minnesota. Proclaiming herself a “Constitutional Conservative” out to fix Washington with a renewed adherence to the Constitution, she hopes to resonate with enough voters to secure her another term in office.

On Newt Gingrich
Some notable Gingrich public statements:
“Core policies of protecting unionization and bureaucratization against children in the poorest neighborhoods, crippling them by putting them in schools that fail has done more to create income inequality in the United States than any other single policy. . . Most of these schools ought to get rid of the unionized janitors, have one master janitor and pay local students to take care of the school. The kids would actually do work, they would have cash, they would have pride in the schools, they’d begin the process of rising.”
Many people were outraged at the suggestion that schools should hire their own students (thereby breaking child labor laws) to become janitors.
“I believe that marriage is between a man and woman. It has been for all of recorded history and I think this is a temporary aberration that will dissipate. I think that it is just fundamentally goes against everything we know.”
