The Ultimate Guide To Galapagos Cruises

The Galapagos Islands are one of the world's absolute best wildlife destination and inextricably connected to the history of biological sciences, we've decided to get a bit clinical ourselves and describe the anatomy of a Galapagos tour. We've tried to include everything you need to think about when scheduling your Galapagos experience, constructing a clear image of how your amazing trip can come together and work as a living, breathing vacation of a lifetime.

The islands are so unique and spectacular, the wildlife so exceptional and the scenery so majestic that the Galapagos stands virtually alone as a true ‘once in a lifetime experience’. Situated in the mid-Pacific around 1,000 miles from the main South American continent, these nineteen volcanic islands were left to develop undisturbed for millennia until their discovery by seafaring people in the 16th century.

It was this isolation that led to the evolution of extraordinary wildlife unlike that found anywhere else on the planet. A fact that did not go unnoticed by a certain Charles Darwin when he visited the islands in the 1830s and was inspired to develop his magnum opus ‘On the Origin of the Species’.
Today, the islands still have the power to enthrall and leave an indelible impression on the thousands of people who visit each year. The exclusivity and understandable levels of protection afforded to this UNESCO World Heritage site mean the best way to experience the islands is by boat. And if you’re going to go, you may as well travel in style. With Galapagos luxury travel available on top of the range yachts, you can experience all the joy and wonder of Isabela, Santa Cruz Island, and Fernandina, as well as all the other islands in the archipelago.

From the comfort of luxury yachts, you can travel at night so that every waking moment is spent taking in the incredible surroundings. Dive with dolphins and playful sea lions, come face to face with marine iguanas and charismatic turtles and look up to see truly amazing birdlife.
