About the Author

I am married with two children and currently live in Connecticut. After graduating from the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in finance and entered the real estate field upon graduation. My first financial moves were to purchase two condominiums and a house before my twenty fifth birthday. The next fifteen years were spent working in sales and management, until the company I was working for was bought out and moved to California. I choose not to move my family cross country and instead went back to school to earn my master’s degree in Education. While working as a history teacher, I became concerned that students would spend 12+ years in school, learning the skills to graduate get a job and earn money, but not how to manage the money that they make. I switched to teaching business, specializing in investing and money management. Unfortunately, I only taught 175 to 200 students per year at school so I decided to write this book to make an easy-to-follow financial plan, available to an unlimited amount of people. I also work part time in finance and accounting at a local community college and as a tax preparer.
