Maggie Gray is a professional performer and Woodwind teacher based in London. She has had an extensive 25 career working full time in television, radio and mostly in London’s West End Theatre Orchestras, both as a woodwind player and Musical Director.

A qualified middle school music specialist and experienced woodwind teacher, at both primary and secondary level, she writes from the combined perspectives of professional player and teacher, and believes that everyone has ability to play to a good standard for themselves, so can be guided to discover their inner talent. Passionate about making the start of learning simple, accessible and fun for all beginners she wrote ‘The Ultimate Clarinet Book’, as a compendium of vital information to give players a positive and trouble free start.

Maggie has been a member of the Royal Society of Musicians of Great Britain since 2008.
