Overview

The Ultimate Betrayal is a unique inside look and view into the private realm of a therapist’s office during seven intensive years of psychotherapy. Ms. Stolz is an adult survivor of terrifying and horrifying childhood battery and violence. In June 1996, suffering from severe Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), the author became a patient who kept an extensive journal of the conversations and emails that occurred between her and the therapist. This is a testament to all adult survivors who live as ghosts burdened with secrets of the family crucible. It is hoped that the book will welcome them back among the living by showing them how to heal—-that it is possible to find joy in living and thrive in their lives.

What People are Saying About This

William Tregaskis

It is a very powerful book taking one through two painful experiences [living it and recovering] in a journey to find ones self...The process of being is a never-ending process...the premise of narrative therapy [helps you] discover...how you intuitively apply it to your own healing. (William Tregaskis, Ph.D., LP, Buffalo Coordinator of Central Minnesota Mental Health Center)

Eliana Gil

It was incredibly compelling, powerful, moving and well-written. It is realistic view of how painful the experience can be and also the possibilities that can occur with dedicated work and good support...I think it would be very worthwhile for people to read...the book is amazing. (Eliana Gil, Ph.D, Gill Center for Healing and Play, Fairfax, VA)
