The Tribal World and Its Transformation
The year 2001 saw the expiry of copyright that the Publishing Department of Visva-Bharati enjoyed as a monopoly ever since the passing away of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore in 1941. This opened up the floodgate of publication of the copyrighted works of Tagore by a number of private publishers. An attempt has been made in the first segment of this book to review and analyze publication of the works of Tagore taking the year 2001 as a turning point. The second segment is devoted to an experimental bibliometric study of select writings and paintings and drawings of Rabindranath. The present work is a humble tribute to a versatile genius whose 150th Birth Anniversary is being currently celebrated all-over the world.
