The Teacher's Hand-Book Of Slöjd, 1891, by Otto Salomon, was the primary teacher training text for the instructor of Slöjd based education at the Nääs School in Sweden. Slöjd education, developed by Salomon, combines craft, creativity and the teacher's guidance with "...the educative force which lies in rightly directed bodily labour, as a means to developing in the pupils (sic) physical and mental powers which will be a sure and evident gain to them for life.
