About the Author

There is a part in this vast world where the winds squeeze between two land masses, where birds chuckle and chortle and hills tumble down to the valley floor. That is where I live. My three near adult children, husband and I live high on one hill overlooking the beautiful Wellington harbour. My faith in God is as important to me as breathing and I adore our weekly travel to church as it takes us along a gurgling river. I have pet wild ducks (called George and Mildred) who call my backyard their home, two guinea pigs who know the sound of my step and two mundane fish called Esmeralda and Rupert. In the chaos of running a family, caring for our home, doing my part-time jobs and going for walks and swims with my special friends I have discovered writing. Putting my fingers on the keyboard is like sliding into the warm tropical waters of Niue. It is refreshing with that little bit of excitement and joy of discovery. I haven't had any formal training as a writer; I simply have the joy of being one.
