The Stew
What mysteries lurk in the shadows?

Hired by a wizard in search of his legacy, you will soon discover, that a sleepy town, is not all it appears to be. People are missing, mysteries abound, but at least the food is good.

Set in a remote region of the Spineback Mountains, The Stew picks up a thread found in It's In The Wine (see Shadow, Sword & Spell: Basic) and the plots of Caim are slowly ripening.

Written by Richard Iorio II (Colonial Gothic & Shadow, Sword & Spell), The Stew is a descent into cooking, legacy, and a strange cult. Newly revised, everything you need to run the adventure is found between the two covers.

About the Author

Born in Connecticut, Richard has lived in such far flung and exotic locales as Pocatello, Idaho and Mauston, Wisconsin.

Richard was once a librarian, and has come a long way from the days when he was the librarian for Harley-Davidson. He spent the first part of his career as a law librarian and worked for two Chicago law firms where he learned a lot about law and law firm culture. This is what drove him to the halls of academia. It was academia which drove him out of the profession, and he now works as a graphic designer, game designer and writer.

Since 1996 Richard has been a freelance writer and designer and has written for Atlas Games, Guardians of Order, Hogshead Publishing, and Zeitgeist Games (just to name a few). In addition he designed two card games (Geek Wars: Battle for the Con and World Championship Dodge Ball) for Goodman Games.

Currently living in Chicago, Illinois with his wife, cat and library of books, Richard is busy working on the historical supernatural horror game Colonial Gothic, Shadow Sword & Spell, and a few other projects.

When not writing in the third-person Richard loves to cook, ride his bike, read, study and play games.
