The Skeptics
The war between science and pseudoscience is real and has grown violent. The Skeptics, a group of anti-scientists, have begun their attack on real scientists and have even hired their own militia. Real scientists who are targeted need to enter a protection program, which often includes changing their true identities, to continue to conduct real research. Erik, who just earned his PhD, is attacked one night in his lab after being targeted because of a study he published and is now placed on the Skeptics' target list. He is sent to The Institute of Science, aka ground zero, a safehouse to heal, where he is given a new name and mission. He is teamed with Youssef to infiltrate the Skeptics and their harrowing journey into the world of quackery brings them to the brink of death. Can they survive? Is science doomed?
