As of November 2022, the video course is currently available to watch on You Tube. The Foundations course was developed in part due to a grant from Epic Games, and even though the course is based on Unreal Engine 4, the vast majority of the course still applies to Unreal Engine 5.
The Foundations course is one of the most comprehensive introductory courses currently available for learning Unreal Engine; it has a significant amount of useful information that still applies to Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) and some content will still be relevant for years. This Self-Study Guide you are reading now was developed to help those who want to take the course and get the most they can out of it. The guide provides links to several of the key resources referenced in the course but most important of all, it tests your knowledge along the way.
If you are serious about learning Unreal Engine, the Foundations Course is an excellent place to start. If you watch all the tutorials, follow along with the projects and suggested assignments, and take all the tests, you will have a solid foundation on which to continue learning the program in all its complexity.
