J.T. Contardo aspires to be a 'Master of Whimsy' (MoW), taking common and not so common topics and dressing them in colorful, fun rhymes. His book series "The Secret Life of...," covers topics that run the gambit and ranges from birds, bees, trees, and fleas, to the night sky, owls, friends, whales, and even Santa himself.
His first published book titled "The Secret Life of Wires and Stringies and Cords!" delves into a place not many care to tread: The unseen world on how the heck wires or cords and alike turn into a jumbled, knotted, rat's nest.
J.T.'s writing style is educational, without all the stuffy facts and figures. The entire series is consistent in style, because J.T.'s sons required that of their dad! His boys loved Mercer Mayer's critter books and Doctor Seuss books because they are so familiar, recognizable and of course, very much fun.
J.T.'s series captures that same fun and feel in whatever topics become part of his ongoing quest to make a rhyme out of everything. His series currently has twenty six completed topics, all being published in 2012, with more it seems, always on the way.
