CHAPTER 1

PART ONE: POSITIVE PSYCHOLOGY

Let All Minds Embellish Riches – LA MER!

Every morning, ask yourself, what am I thinking about? What mental pictures are you creating about yourself and your day ahead? Are they Negative? Positive? Ambitious? Exciting? Are you visualising that you will fail in something today, or, rather, that you will succeed? What are you wishing for? What are you striving toward?

This mental picture you dream or imagine is sure to be your reality, if not today, it will be someday. Believe that what you are thinking and creating or designing as yourself, is as if you are painting your life's canvas. It will be your reality.

We often respond to our obedience and think that we ought to believe what we are told about ourselves as truth. I strongly encourage you not to create your thoughts of whom you are or shall one day be, based on what others around you have said you are. They are not the creator of you. You have the gift and qualifications to be the one to form whom you'll grow to be. I promise you this, you have more power over you than anyone else in your life.

Positive psychology is, in my view, a mind that embellishes riches, not as much in a monetary sense, than as a wealthy or rich - soul sense. It is a mind that has the freedom, beyond boundaries, to find what wealth to oneself is. Wealth I define as abundance of life, the joy and pleasure to live to one's innate truth. There are never any limitations to your true ambitions and aspirations. So long as they are truthful, lawful, loving and good.

Positive psychology views no error or mistake as a misfortune or a disinclined motion to achieving a goal. It is an understanding that for every drawback there is a lesson to learn and a moment to ponder gratitude. From the counting of your blessings at this point, as there are always those to find, it will ensure your mind will sustain concentration to prosperity and positivity. Not any loss at all!

It is a mind that should never fear to fail, rather fear not to have ever tried. The experience that you gain will serve you purpose - somewhere, somehow, someday. So long as you're attempt to try is with a faithful heart of good intention, never to judge or wish harm on others, with a Godly intention.

Positive psychology is having the liberation to release your fears and to take your dreams as high as you know they can reach. It is trusting that you are the one who knows best. It is an independent mind, with an open-mindedness to listen to the voice of our parents, educators and loved ones, and knowing that you are the final decider. Moreover, positive psychology therefore requires a substantial level of maturity and sensibility to ensure that your decisions are on a direction of safety, thoughtfulness, integrity and above all honesty – that is, truth to others around you and most importantly, to yourself.

Positive psychology is aiming high, and having tremendous expectations on what you believe you can achieve. It is not pressure or stress, rather, it is doing all that you can to your highest standard of capable performance.

Positive psychology is never to be competitive, only to hold tight to thoughts of your own dreams and ambitions. It is to feel challenged and inspired within an environment that is conducive to new acquired knowledge. It is to be engaged, feel present and stimulated. If not, find something to do or an environment that does.

Positive psychology is living with your heart and mind, in all that you do, that is, to always be pragmatic yet warm hearted.

Know who you are, name it, claim it, without ambiguity or vagueness. Do not fear that you may wish to change your ideals and aspirations, fear instead that you have no claim at all. Calmly and confidently, all you need to know is what you want and are striving to at this minute, and yesterday, and perhaps tomorrow. Just simply know yourself really well today. And always hold a sense of humour to you and to life. Live with a light-hearted spirit!

Unshakeable Faith – Authentic Law

Your key objective is to have unshakeable faith of your vision. It requires you to resonate with this belief as the absolute truth. I have defined this obedient faith as the Authentic Law. This law can be challenging, although it will be thrilling to you when you have mastered this law and embedded it as truth. It can be difficult to equate truth to what we yet cannot see, and therefore it may at times pose as hard work to set our thoughts to this mindset. No matter what you see visibly in your surroundings and current environment hold firm to loyal belief that your aspiration is on its way. Anchor your vision regardless of what happens to you in your present life and believe in your vision as a law of authenticity, with the unquestionable belief that you are in creation of this vision.

Defining Your Vision – How to Transpose this into Authentic Law

You are young, your world is yet to enlighten your mind with boundless opportunities, I acknowledge the complexity involved in defining your vision. As stated to you previously, always remember, that your vision - although held in unshakeable faith, may require change or tweaking to its design. This is fine, so long as once at a newly defined stage, you are obedient to the belief of its creation.

Your aspiration can be a short-term or long-term goal, most importantly, create it as if you were an artist painting a picture of whom you'd like to grow to be. It may have a foundation based on your career objectives, or it may be in creating the characteristics of the person whom you aspire to become. I trust in you that you know best for you. Trust in yourself that you do! Listen to the advice given to you by your parents, family, teachers and loved ones, but always stand in firm confidence that you are the only one that truly understands your heart's wishes. A heart's innate wisdom and desires is never from a competitive or vain thought process. It is always with a Godly intention with the fundamental light of strategy to develop yourself with a purpose to better yourself, and that inevitably in turn, will benefit the good of all. Your vision is a genuine intent to establish a goal that is trustworthy, honest, fair and in alignment with also the good of your family and friends. Your vision is directed in a positive perspective with the gratitude and assurance that every small action is a new seed that is planted, moving you closer toward your fruitful vision. Any mishaps or fallings along the way are regarded only as a lesson to learn new acquired knowledge, never to give up or cease your artistic creation.

Once you believe in the authentic law you will learn to find countless moments to celebrate your achievements whilst on your journey to achieving your ultimate aspiration. Never in a boastful manner, rather, a reassurance in the truth that your vision is moving closer to you. Your eyes will sparkle in the marvel of your power to be and to have anything you desire. You will beam with joy and happiness and your life will follow a path of integrity, truth and wisdom.

The clarity of your vision is, rightly so, very important. It is not to be vague, confused or unclear. Paint your creation with certainty, and as you develop into this process you will find your vision will increase in clarity. Spend time in meditation, nurturing your vision, by imagining it as truth and feeling its creation as if it were with you at this minute. This will increase your purity of faith.

In the proceeding chapter I will outline a framework for you to use to create your vision. From this moment on, consider your life as a fairy tale with the brave courage to believe that your WISH will come true.

Make a WISH!

Write it down

Imagine it

often Speak about it

Have unshakeable faith that it is yours!

Perception, Perception, Perception ...

Positive psychology is living a happy and joyful life. Every circumstance is seen in a different light or perspective, through the eyes of each one of us. What we physically see with our eyes may be viewed as the same picture, we each interpret the picture in our own unique way.

Perception equals truth. What you believe really is your reality. So I encourage you to believe in your dreams, and like a fairy-tale, they are sure to come true.

What you perceive to believe equates to truth. If not today, if you continue to hold onto the belief it will be tomorrow. Your perceptions should be with rose-coloured lenses, as it is in your ultimate wellbeing to perceive situations in a positive light. There is never ever any benefit in thinking negative thoughts.

Blessings at Bedtime:

At night, cheek to pillow, count your blessings, even if you feel you've had the worst day imaginable! Find at least five good bits to count – even count until you fall asleep. There will always be something to be thankful for. It could be a blessing as simple as a warm hello your friend greeted you with, or your favourite dinner. I promise you that you will feel a whole lot better and will therefore be in the mindset to stay focused to your vision. It's like magic!

How to Create our Vision, Goals and

Dreams La Mer Framework

It is essential that you design and create a framework in order to conceptualise what you wish and hope to be. It is useful to create a framework for that which you would like to be in the future and the goals you have now, at the minute. Purely, in the documentation or writing down process and articulating your dreams, already orchestrates the band to play beautiful music in moving your life in the direction it needs to be in order for you to achieve your goals.

La Mer Framework....

Label it, with a title, give your dream a powerful, attractive and positive name.

Actualise it, use your imagination to draw it to reality in your mind, as if you were watching a movie.

Make footprints towards your goal. By looking towards achieving your dream, you will find like magic you will see opportunities appear around you that will allow you to move towards your dream. Follow these with strong determination and a mindful willpower to work hard at it if necessary.

Excel here in the moment, with the excitement of your future goal coming to fruition. Always celebrate the small stuff!

Reach your goal!

The Olive Tree:

The Olive Tree is renowned for its robustness and resilience, yielding the ability to withstand poor soils, rugged surroundings as if it were a forgiving and kindly tolerant tree. Nonetheless of the tree's circumstances, in due course, it produces its fruit – luscious olives! It knows its own fate, and therefore withstands the difficult terrain with the vision to bear fruit – and alas, in good and patient time, it does.

Visualise yourself as the Olive Tree. No matter what surrounds you, with regards to limitations or boundaries or even hardships, if you can withstand any circumstances and hold onto the faith that the fruit will come – I assure you, it will.

The Olive Tree's tenacity eludes grace, admiration and strength by its onlookers. Consider your reputation to be that of similar qualities. Always stand tall, shoulders back, head up high, without ever being boastful, rather, humble as pure as the Olive Tree.

From Small Beginnings

What to do with 'errors' or 'failures' or 'mistakes':

Firstly, and immediately, erase the three words above from your vocabulary.

1. Error

2. Failure

3. Mistake

Should you ever sense feelings as a result of your mind drawing to the conclusion that you have: made an error, failed in some way, or made a mistake remember to cast your thoughts on the reminder that these words are no longer a part of your vocabulary and mindset. Find a positive or the lesson learnt in this moment of adversity. You will nudge yourself to get right back on track to working towards your goal.

Honour your Intuition:

Blessed be your intuition. Consider it as your Guardian Angel's voice, or gentle tapping on your shoulder to remind you about your vision, your dreams, moreover, the path to creating the real you. We all sway from time to time, especially when the following emotions kick in: fear, worry, doubt, weariness, procrastination, disappointment, tiredness or regret. If we settle into these emotions, we will divert from our vision. We will then allow these negative feelings to path our future beliefs about ourselves. And so, when you hear your innate voice of reason awakening from that good place within you, or the voice of your Guardian Angel, listen to it. Whenever you begin to feel these off course emotions, it is often easier to wallow in these negative feelings, which will then in turn allow our logic to validate the negative emotions as real or truth. It takes harder work, persistence, resilience and strength to overrule these thoughts, when they appear to be our apparent reality. When you find yourself sinking in this place, take a moment and start to count your blessings. Let these blessings win victory – as hard as this is to do! Within moments you will be back on your way toward your goals and vision.

Be a radar to your own emotions. The following emotions, when felt, will tell you that you are not flowing with ease to your life, or you are restricted and worst of all, sliding off your track toward your goal and aspiration. I ASSURE YOU - You don't ever need to feel this way.

Discouraged

Frightened

Bored

Complacent

Unloved

Mother Nature

Trust in the world's security, reassurance and good-will. Never be doubtful that your dream is too far away. Just as sure as the sun shines to coin a new day, and the moon will comfort our nights, your dream will come true.

Trust in your vision as confidently as you believe in Mother Nature. There is, and always will be, day, night, and four seasons in one year. Believe as you KNOW this is true.
