Ren, Xiehua, Male, (b. 1973) is an independent writer. He started writing in 1988. In 1994, he began writing novels and became a professional writer. He has founded the New Snow Art Center, and dedicated to modern literature and art development. He was one of the earliest promoters of the literature of the "70s".
Works include novels, poetry, plays, reviews, art reviews, and social articles.
Main works include novels: The Cold Land in the World and The Sand of the Ganges; long poems: The Crazy Swallows, The Long Night Journey, Trauma, The Trembling Land, and some other fictions and short stories.
In 2000, he launched a poetry conference in Shang Hai and founded The Point Seven Movie Association of Practice. He was invited to attend the first, and the second Thought Forum of Contemporary Art in 2012 and 2013, and the TaiPei International Writing Center's Week (2015).
He is a member of the Writers in Prison Committee of ICPC (the Independent Chinese PEN Center).
