About the Author

Roger Rapoport is a travel writer, producer and jrounalist and has extensively covered the aviation industry around the world. He is the author of Citizen Moore: The Making of An American Iconoclast, Hillsdale: A Greek Tragedy In the American Heartland and many other books on science, education and politics. He is also the editor of the "I Should Have Stayed Home" trouble travel series, which has sold over 250,000 in America and in translation around the world.

Rapoport is the producer and co-screenwriter of Waterwalk, a feature film based on Steve Faulkner's true story of a father and son canoe trip.

A frequent flyer, he has covered stories in 28 countries. His work currently appears in many American newspapers and online via the McClatchy Tribune News Service. He has been a staff reporter at the 'San Francisco Chronicle', San Jose Mercury News and the Oakland Tribune. He has published widely in such newspapers as the 'Dallas Morning News, the 'Miami Herald', the 'Wall Street Journal' and the 'Independent'.
