Overview

THE RIB asks hardboiled questions and follows clues to some startling answers, while leaving others eternally obscure. This fast-paced tale spins around marriage, mayhem and mystery. An ex-husband provides a new, desperate husband facing divorce clues to the psyche of the beautiful wife they have both known. In her own defense, the wife has a rendezvous with her ex-husband to investigate what has been reported about her past and to ensure that a secret will be kept.

About the Author

PAUL LEEPER served on the professional staff at the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency for twenty years. He formerly worked for the U.S. government as a Special Agent and later as a contracted advisor traveling worldwide with assignments in North Africa, Central America and the Arabian Peninsula. Leeper is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America. His plays have had readings or productions in Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington, Philadelphia, Harrisburg and Knoxville. The Mystery Writers of America nominated his play SAFE HOUSE for an Edgar Award for best play. THE RIB is his first novella.
