The Rending of the Veil: A Challenge to Rabbinic Judaism
In the first and longest essay of this book Lee Gilbert challenges the traditional Jewish understanding of Genesis 1:26-27, "Let us make man" etc. He shows that there are three indications of tri-unity in those two verses, in other words, an all but explicit Trinitarian signature. The other essays discuss the rending of the veil at the Crucifixion, Psalm 2 as a Trinitarian psalm, and how the strange purification rite in Numbers 19 foreshadows events at both the wedding feast of Cana and the Crucifixion.
