Sl Jones was born and raised in the Lawndale community on the westside of Chicago. She has worked from Corporate America to government jobs to being unemployed after making over $90,000 + annually, along with an educational background. Jones is an anointed visionary and member of several organizations including NAACP, BWM, and WSA. She is founder of a non profit organization, Youth Mentor, and she strongly believes in making a difference and helping others to see their inner strength.

The most important to her is her 3 little girls. She has made it this far by faith and prayer. She enjoys writing in a unique style that mixes religion, culture, modern, urban, justice, and street life all in one. Her stories are very intriguing and would make anyone want to have a change of heart.
