Gretta Scott Holt was born and raised in Wilmington ,NC and graduated from New Hanover High School and UNC-Wilmington. Her major was Physical Education, but her passion has always been writing. Gretta moved to Charlotte NC in 1989  and Monroe, NC  in 2002 and has lived there since with her husband Gary and her "little man" Max, a standard 2 yr old Dachshund.  She has worked in the insurance industry for 18 years.  She is "Grana" to her identical  8 year old twin grandaughters, Avery Elizabeth and Hannah Grace Miller , who have always been her inspiration, and thankfully live close by. Their joy of reading led them to ask their "Grana" to write a book for them and so she did...
