About the Author

Dr. John Johnson has served as a Coordinator of Faculty Recruiting at Indiana Wesleyan for the last twelve years. He has helped to hire over 1000 adjunct faculty, taught over 200 courses and serves on the faculty of three doctorate programs. He also serves as Senior Partner of Precedent Academics, a company he helped to found in 2004. In this role he manages a global team who produce textbooks and support the learning of adult learners. His degrees are in Intercultural Education (Ph.D.) and Human Resource Leadership.

Dr. Cheryl Fleming serves as Assistant Dean for Teaching and Learning. Her department provides on-boarding, mentoring, and development for over 2000 adjunct faculty members. She teaches classes for Business and Leadership, Liberal Arts/ Electives, and Graduate Education. Cheryl’s degrees include a PhD in Organizational Leadership, with additional graduate work in biological sciences, education, business, and library and information sciences. She is an accomplished writer and musician, and a former high school principal.
