Overview

The Pulse of Allah is a fast paced book about the end of the world as we know it. In this book the end comes through the use of an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) weapon over the United States and Europe by a Muslim coalition. It follows the lives of its characters through the pulse and its aftermath - their struggle for survival through the chaos - and the eventual triumph of the US against the coalition in spite of huge population losses at home.

About the Author

James Knight is a Mechanical Engineer, former Naval Officer, licensed pilot, inventor, runner and triathlete. He has a black belt in the Japanese martial art of Ninjutsu. In his spare time he builds things, writes books and - just to keep it real - has done many of the things he writes about. He is currently working on his second novel.

I started this book thinking it would be a fun read in between the various tasks and running around I do during the day. Well it didn't actually work out that way. I couldn't put it down and had to really discipline myself to stop reading so I could get some sleep. The storyline was really interesting, especially the military on both sides. I don't want to give anything away but this story is very believable and really makes you think this could happen. It reminded me of Tom Clancy.
