Overview

This Guide describes the tax resolution concepts, strategies and techniques of a 16-year IRS Collection Manager and 22-year taxpayer representative. Here’s what some leading professionals say about the author and the Guide.

Theodore Cohen, Esq. -- Over the years I have referred a large number of people to Jim Demetriou for assistance. These individuals had problems with delinquent taxes, others were levied by the IRS or their business was facing seizure. When all seems lost... when it looks as if there is no way out... I insist that my friends and clients go to Jim Demetriou. His name ought to be "Jim Houdini."

Thomas A. Nitti, Esq., Certified Specialist, Taxation Law -- For over twenty years your specialized tax expertise in IRS collection matters has greatly assisted me. I have found that your unique training and background exceeds the knowledge of tax attorneys and CPA's, even those very few who practice in the tax collection area. I describe you as "tax collection specialists" to my clients, as well as to attorneys and CPA's (many of whom I have referred to you). Your professional knowledge and expertise makes you specialists in every sense of the word.

Burke Willsey, Esq., Tax Attorney and former Asst. Commissioner IRS, Retired -- I have used the services of Demetriou, Montano & Associates a number of times. In my opinion, they bring a very high level of expertise and ability to bear on unique problems in the area of delinquent tax returns and payments. The work has been done efficiently, promptly and professionally, and typically at a cost that has been very favorable compared to the fees I would have charged had I done the work myself. I have been very pleased with the quality of the work that they have done and very favorably impressed with the results they have achieved.

Mark D. Pastor, Esq., Certified Specialist, Taxation Law -- Over the years, your firm and my law firm have worked on numerous tax problems for the benefit of clients who had serious income and payroll tax problems. We consider your tax firm to be particularly well qualified in assisting us with our work. Given the fact that you and other members of your firm have many years of former IRS experience, you are well qualified to do difficult tax work. We look forward to the continuation of our professional working relationship.

Henry M. Toles, Esq., Bankruptcy Attorney -- It has now been over fifteen years since I first became aware of your expertise in handling delinquent taxation problems. During these years, I have referred dozens of clients to your firm. In every case, my clients have been thoroughly satisfied not only with your outstanding tax expertise, but also with your sensitivity to their individual situations and total commitment to client service and satisfaction. Your firm has literally helped my clients with just about every aspect of delinquent taxation problems.

James C. Mahoney, CPA -- When my clients owe back taxes or have several unfiled tax returns, and the IRS is after them, I call Jim Demetriou. With his extensive former IRS collection expertise, he is the most capable in negotiating tax debt resolutions directly with the IRS. I have referred many clients to Jim with the confidence that they will receive the best representation available.

Larry Olney, Tax Preparer -- I have been preparing tax returns for over 20 years. When a client has a serious problem with the IRS, I recommend Demetriou, Montano & Associates. They have helped several of my clients with rather difficult tax matters that only professionals can resolve. Some clients have selected other firms and have always regretted their decision. Demetriou, Montano & Associates does not "sell" their services by promising what they cannot deliver. I typically do not make recommendations, but Demetriou, Montano & Associates are Number One on my recommendation list.
