Octavius Winslow was a Baptist minister in the 19th century. Born in England, Winslow became one of the most famous evangelical preachers of his time along with Charles Spurgeon and J.C. Ryle. Winslow moved to the United States to study at Columbia College in New York. During his time in New York, Winslow founded the Central Baptist Church which held services in Broadway Hall. Winslow later served as minister at the Second Baptist Church in Brooklyn before moving back to England in 1839.

Winslow’s works are known for being very devotional and comforting to the readers. Winslow authored more than 40 books in his lifetime including No Condemnation in Christ. This edition of Winslow’s The Precious Things of God includes a table of contents.
