About the Author

Dr. Russell H. Dilday recently served as Interim President of Howard Payne University in Texas. He pastored four chruches before becoming president of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and was Acting Dean and Distinguished Professor of Hermeneutics and Homiletics at George Truett Seminary of Baylor University. Dr. Dilday was elected to numerous denominational serivce positions including president of the Baptist General Convention of Texas. He and his wife, Betty, have three children.
