About the Author

Milton H. Erickson M.D. (1901-1980) was widely considered to be the world's greatest hypnotherapist. He founded a school of hypnosis known as Ericksonian hypnosis.

His style of hypnosis was considered permissive as opposed to the authoritarian styles of previous generations.

Later in life, Erickson was discovered through the works of Jay Haley, Richard Bandler, and John Grinder. Since then, his popularity has skyrocketed.
