The Portrait
Elizabeth and her best friend Zoe live in a small, isolated village in a land that has no known name and a history few know. When Elizabeth's grandfather is brutally murdered over a seemingly worthless portrait, the two young women flee for their lives, seeking out an old friend of the grandfather. Upon meeting a quiet and caring man, the trio sets out to find what the portrait is and why it is worth killing over. During this path of self discovery, Elizabeth struggles with the realization that she is supposed to defeat an enemy she knows nothing about, become a mother, and not disappoint her best friend who while courageous, is impulsive and quick tempered.
