Overview

Of the many electronic copies of the singular cases of our friend, Sherlock Holmes, available to the general public, the absence of the original illustrations as they appeared in the Strand, between 1891 and 1904, is decidedly conspicuous. Much like Watson felt for Dupin and Lecoq, we felt rather indignant at having two characters whom we had admired treated in this cavalier style. The principle people concerned are now beyond the reach of copyright law, and the texts may be made public so as to injure no one.

The Original Illustrated Adventures of Sherlock Holmes includes every one of the original illustration by Sidney Paget as they appeared on first publication of these stories.
