The Opal Within Us
The animals teach us that we are all here to share one thing with the world and that is WHO WE ARE. The animals remind us that All Power Comes From Within, Life is Uncertain Make It Wonderful, Accept Whatever May Come and to Think Not of Yourself. (a few chapter titles from the book).

As I state in the intro of my book, the animals are the real authors of the stories as their unique communications force us to redefine ourselves. And in our own struggles with death, illness, physical challenges, relationships and other issues, it is through their voices, actions and sacrifices we learn and understand how not to Judge.

About the Author

The Opal Within Us, has been written from personal experiences. I did not set out in life to be an author. I am formally educated in business/finance which has been the support and focus for the past twenty-some years.

Through the years I have realized that others, like myself, have come to a point in our lives where we are seeking out other opportunities, other interests different from where we started. It usually takes some event to cause the change.

In my case, this event was moving to the country where the children could have some farm animals, that changed my focus. Sure I still had to continue with my current career, but this major change or move set the scene and place for a new journey.

It afforded me the opportunity to open up to the more spiritual side of myself, to expand my vision and knowledge of Universal Power and Assistance.

Almost Got It All Ranch, is where these stories unfolded and it was through the farm animals, their willingness to teach, willingness to sacrifice that my shift in focus was more consistent and that consistency produced this book.

"This book has been an inspiration to me and my family. Each family member has contributed in many ways. My husband and two children have personally cared for these animals whether in daily chores, birthing, or caring for the sick and dying. My husband has been a wonderful support emotionally, making sure I had the special time to write and work with the animals, all along never criticizing, judging or doubting. He shared my enthusiasm even if it meant late nights at the barn. Even though not all of the animals on our ranch contributed to a story, each and every one made an imprint in our lives."
