Overview

This lighthearted memoir about growing up in a large Catholic family in the 50s and 60s is told through the voice of a young boy. The author shares his daily adventures with his closest brother, the embarrassment of his first physical and how he paid the price for stealing from his friend, the local grocer. He explains what it was like to attend catholic school and the horror of being told he was flunking fourth grade. All this while being mystified by the nuns and the idiosyncrasies of being raised Catholic. He also reveals some unusual family secrets and other humorous oddities that could only happen while living in a large family from this era.
If you or someone you know grew up during this era, chances are one of the stories in this book relates to you or that person.
